Using it as a wireless you just need to find that sweet spot where the indicator turns green and you get a good overlap from your modem or router to the extender... You could put the extender do the PS4 and use the ethernet cord to connect directly to the PS4 very good. Haven't tried that... Usually having just a wireless in a sweet spot for extension works just great
