Yes it will, Just sync the Wi-Fi extender to your router and you can put it anywhere in the home where you have an electrical outlet where the signal is weak. You might need more than one depending on how many areas where you have a weak signal at.

Yes it will work. Once you do the initial setup, you can move it to any outlet within range of the main router. Then just experiment with which outlet gives you the best signal for where you are trying to extend your WiFi to. I only connect to the extender now because it gives me a better signal than the main router throughout the whole house and outside.
