• I have a Netgear Nighthawk model R7300 connected to the modem and use both 2.4G & 5G.

• Neither, this is only a modem. The question you are asking pertains to an access point. For home use an access point is often built into a router.

• Hey Don, This modem will support both 2.4 and 5g networks. Keep in mind, this is solely a modem, so make sure you research your particular needs as you will need a router as well to provide a multiple device whole home solution.
