• I do not think it matters, I have it in top of a bookcase in the front area and I use it in the back area in bed.It streams just fine . I have internet only.

• Not sure about the size of our house 70’ +- north to south. Router is about 30’ south of NW corner on the floor and front Of it is pointed ESE. Works well inside hole house and covers backyard well.
