I think it’s possible I only have internet and I’m using it. Tell you the truth I don’t think you need Verizon Router just the service. That’s how I did with Spectrum. I bought the router and just only have they service. I hope this helps out a Little.

Take a photo of the way current router/modem is set up, set the new one up the same, return equipment to Fios, ask for receipt, take photo for proof of return, ask for discount from VZN, and enjoy great internet service. I had the same situation with Xfinity. I’ll be happy I got the dual equipment when I do get cable TV.
