Yes you need a modem and a router unless Comcast is providing those for you already. And the router must be wireless Roku is designed for TVs that aren’t smart so it will work as long as you have an available HDMI slot. Speed needs to be at least 100 in my opinion Good luck Roku is the way to go then consider YouTube TV We love it and cheap too
