• Yes it will, I use it with a cm400 modem I get 240mbps with Comcast xfinity, I upgraded my modem to a netgear cm700 and upgraded my Comcast package to the gigabit and I'm getting over 1 gig down with this router

• I believe you still need a comcast/xfinity compatible modem that takes your cable input and gives an ethernet output which then connects to the router.
