Not really understanding your ? but this makes so you will NOT need a range extender . The claim is this covers up to 4000 sq ft. With this you can have many more wireless devices i have over 40 sometimes . I have a chromecast ultra 4k and no i do not hard wire anything except my X box for slightly faster speeds due to no SSD (solid state drive in it )
