Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Google Wi-Fi is your router so if you have comcast or another cable system this will be your modem and Google Wi-Fi will work as your router. The only thing to consider is this is a fantastic modem but you may want to consider upgrading your router to get the benefit of the speed bonus your new modem offers. I was using Google's 3 pod wi-fi and was shocked when I upgraded to the Linksys Velop . My Wi-Fi was much more stable, the issues I had been having with my home security system disappeared and adding any new items to my home network was easier and quicker. The reason I didn't go with the Linksys Orbi is that Ring cameras won't be able to use Live view. If your not using Ring or other cameras Orbi would work as well. Hope this helps good luck.
