I cannot get this modem to connect online null

You need to have your provider authorise and authenticate the device on their network. The provider will update the firmware as needed. It was plug and play for me once the provider allowed access..

You have to call your internet provider and give them the MAC address on the box it came in. Take a picture of it for your own record.
