“Can this unit be used outside or is it for inside use only?”

• It's not water proof or water resistant. So keeping that in mind it can absolutely be used outside as long as it's not exposed to water or snow. If the power chord is going to be outside then it should be plugged in to a GFCI outlet that is designed for in use connections.

• I believe it needs to be used under cover from the elements. However, if you were to construct a waterproof "container" and place the unit next to an electrical outlet, I think that would be sufficient to use the unit outside. You would not want it to get wet, etc. Hope that helps.
