“How far can the extender be away from the router and still have maximum signal?”

• My router is in the front of the house and the extender is in the back of the house, around 40' apart with 3 walls in between. It shows max signal. I'm using it to get wifi to my block building that sets 8' behind our house. I can stream live tv (youtube tv) in that building using this. So far very impressed with it.

• At this point, I have my extender 2 rooms away from the main router and it works fine for me.
