• The extender doesn't increase or decrease your speed, per se; that is determined by your internet provider. The extender helps to eliminate wifi "dead spots".

• I believe the Xfinity router you have can only download speeds up to 343mbs. and your current extender handles up to 300mbs. Unless you upgrpayade you Xfinity router it would not pay.
