Matching Netgear electric outlet extenders work great and easy setup. You can pair as well but better using booster for this purpose. Pairing allows extending signal. Boosting more less improves speed and some signal range. NetGear makes great electric outlet extenders. But you might also want to look for some AC 3200 ones as well. Right now not many of those out there.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I figure Netgear likes to talk to Netgear, plus Maximum PC gave the AC1200 extender a really good review, so that's the one I have. They've come out with a faster one too. I think either of these would work really well.
I would recommend:

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.not sure of good option, I would think this thing would be more than enough?! Mine is in the center of the house (1700 sf) I have 100% bar in every room, no issues, I have 100% even in the middle of the street which is about 60 yards from where the router is. practically in range for about 100 yards any direction.. I know Asus makes some pretty good extenders, but most extenders will only repeat/push what they are receiving. maybe try relocating the nighthawk make sure nothing else is interfering with it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've run across circumstances where the building materials, e.g. steel pan for a poured concrete floor, foil backed insulating bats, wire mesh for stucco, etc. made a barrier that the signal could not penetrate. You may have to run a wire to the basement and install an access point there to get WiFi.
