“I currently have an Arris modem/router combo. It's not strong enough to get to the end of my house because of wall jogs. We don't game, do we still need the AC3200? Or can we get a less expensive router. House is 2,466 sq. ft.”

I had a similar issue in my residence, single floor, 2200 square feet. I tried this router because my existing router had to be placed in one end of my house due to working issues, instead of centrally which is optimal. It did not seem to improve my coverage area at all and actually seemed to be spottier I’m some cases. My other router was the one installed by my internet provider and I forget the brand/model. I ended up spending a little more and getting the Orbi mesh system. Works amazing!
