• You should be ok using only the main unit, and activating the satellite only if needed.

• I believe ORBI has systems that have one router. Just be sure to get one with an “AX” designation which denotes WiFi 6. Get the speeds that you’re paying for anyway. The placement of two units are suggest at opposite locations in the home so there are no dead signal coverage spots. Lastly, I cut the cord February 2020 and stream (5) 4K TVs and a lot more devices. Absolutely no buffering. Well worth the money spent on the router (I DID NOT WANT TO SPEND THAT MUCH MONEY) No cable or satellite bill anymore. Worth every penny! No regrets!
