I had a Netgear NightHawk Ax12, which was supposed to handle the "larger" networks...pffftttt....the box says upto 40 devices. I did have about 60 on the network at one point, and the very next connection crashed it. I moved onto the Orbi AX6000 as the box says it will handle up to 100+ devices. I never have any less than 70 devices online at any given time, and it has become spotty, and drops my sons PS4 frequently. My cameras drop on occasion, which is defeating having them on the network. I'm moving on from Netgear, and going to try the UniFi Dream Machine Pro with a UniFi HD AP. The cost is comparable to the Orbi AX6000, and this system promises 200+ users...aka devices. So, if you plan on going the smart home route, you better plan for a system to hold 100+ devices.....Netgear isn't the answer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Box says up to 60. Currently I have 35.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Claims to connect 35-100 devices. Currently, I have 20-25 devices connected to it plus wired ones and never experienced any lags or drops. With gigabit speeds provided by your carrier(ISP), you definitely get every bit of kbps. It’s worth it!
