A:Answer Yes, you can hard wire & it has many benefits. Many people mistake the fact that just because these are WIFI devices, that EVERYTHING should be wireless. Not so. You CAN use these via wireless-only and in some situations that is the best solution. Although if you have the option to do the back haul via a wired connection, you will potentially:
Increase the WIFI throughput to your devices (phones, tablets, etc)
Make your device run cooler because it doesn't have to transmit on another radio.
Clean up the airwaves for your neighbors (minor issue today)
Most wired connections have the potential to run 2x the throughput of WIFI. As WIFI speeds increase this will matter less, but up until now wired has always been the reliable, steady, drop-free method of transmitting data. Remember, if you've placed a satellite in a location of the building that needs better coverage, that suggest that the satellite itself MAY have marginal ability to relay your data to the base station.
