The Orbi 850 units are not cell phone service compatible at all. They are a mesh wifi system to provide a more even wifi network around your home. They will communicate on either 2.4GHz & 5GHz bands which all of today's cell phones are capable to handle. I couldn't find the technical specs, but it should be able to handle the 1 gig service you have.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.in your question you refer to 5G cell service; that's different than wifi service. so, compatibility is not the question. 2.4G / 5G are the frequency bands wifi uses; all routers use these bands (although a new band is opening up?).
