Most routers today have built-in security which is pretty good. Netgear's top of line router comes with their product called "Armor". It scans every node, everyday, you have on your network to see if they have any vulnerabilities. If they do, Armor has recommendations to take. Netgear also includes a product called "Bitdefender" which can be installed on devices like computer, phones and tablets. All of this is free for the first 30 days, then there is a yearly fee that is 35% off if you take advantage of it. Very reasonable for what you get.
