My Orbi covers multiple levels. I setup base on mid level hooked into my Comcast router. Placed the first satellite upstairs. I have at least 4 bars (rings) everywhere. We run 3 active game systems, 5 computers, 3 smart TVs and 5 cell phones without issue. I haven't tested distance to failure yet but I'm still seeing 4 bars at 60 feet through 3 walls. This can add more satellites but don't know daisy chain or all from hub.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on the size and construction of your home... The router will have to be placed on one floor and the satellite on another for it to be effective...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would buy the orbi with two satellites. I have a two story house with one satellite and the coverage is excellent. Setup is easy and customer support is great.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Assuming your modem is on the first floor I would place the satellite on the 2nd floor and it should reach the third floor no problem. I have a 2 story 217 year old colonial (thick walls) and have the modem and router on one end of the first floor and the satellite on the opposite end of the 2nd floor and get full coverage (and speed) everywhere including the basement and edges of my front, back and side yards. I pay for 150mbs with cox and routinely get 300mbs everywhere (netgear cm1000 modem and orbi with 1 satellite)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on a number of factors as well as your individual needs. The Orbi (RBK50) system was designed to cover approximately 2,500 sq. ft. per device (5,000 sq. ft. for a router and single satellite combined, up to 3 total satellites can be supported at this time). We recommend placing the router in a central location if more than one satellite will be used as they must connect directly to the router in a satellite-router-satellite configuration (they cannot be daisy-chained to one another).
