Not quite sure of what you are asking. Are you going to replace the X6 with the Orbi AC3000? If so, it is an easy install using the included directions. Essentially bringing up the Orbi router and then the Satellite and placing it somewhere in the middle of your home. If you are talking about installing the Orbi in addition to your X6 then that is a whole different situation and you would have to get more info somewhere as I don't know the answer..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’m not sure about making them work together. Based on the issues I was having and the great results I got form the Orbi and one satellite, try running just the Orbi system only and see what you think!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.IN MY SITUATION, I CUT OFF MY WI-FI FROM MY INTERNET PROVIDERS MODEM/ROUTER (DUAL BAND), ETHERNEL CABLE FROM THERE MODEM TO THE ORBI AC3000 (TRI-BAND) AND THAT FIXED MY ISSUE. NOE PER OOKLA SPEEDTEST I GET 250+ MBPS OUT OF 300 ANYWHERE IN MY 4000 SQFT 1950 2 STORY BRICK HOUSE. ON TOP OF THAT I CAN GET TO MY NETWORK ALMOST 2 BLOCKS FROM THE HOUSE
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Instructions for running the Orbi in Access Point mode (i.e alongside your current Nighthawk X6 router) are located beginning on page 83 of the User Manual: https://www.netgear.com/support/product/RBK50#docs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not sure you need both of them. I use the Orbi AC3000 and have the router in my basement and satellite on the 3rd level and have no dead spots in 4500sq ft. I highly recommend the Orbi because this has not been accomplished with 3 other whole home WiFi systems.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
