Instructions for setting up the Orbi in AP mode (if you would prefer this method) are located beginning on page 72 of the User Manual: https://www.netgear.com/support/product/RBK50#docs. We recommend disabling the Wi-Fi signal on your FIOS router, however, to reduce the possibility of signal interference between the two devices: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/31100?cid=wmt_netgear_organic.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You'll need to set it up in AP mode and just use it for your Wi-Fi And turn off wifi on the FiOS router. There are easy to follow directions in the manuals. Your FiOS router will still be necessary and will hand out IP addresses but your WiFi through the orbi and ESP with a satellite will be much better. At least it has been for me. It is also nice to have the extra ethernet ports for wired connection s.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, Just turn off the wifi on the Verizon Router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My buddy has Verizon Fios and he told me that their Modem/Router is locked by them, I think you would have to call Verizon so that you can get into your router settings and disable the router’s WIFI so that you can connect the Orbi Router to said Verizon Modem. I would not recommend that you use both routers active and brodge the system in order for it to work If you have some serious video gamers in your house. Having both verizon and Orbi routers on bridge mode would conflict with NAT and give you a hard time playing multiplayer games.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Simply connect your new Orbi to the Verizon router and it will prompt you to answer some questions and viola!
