Your Netgear router bridged to your WiFi is slow and uses cell minutes. In this configuration it sounds like your only Internet is via the MIFI. Do you have internet other than thru the cell signal of the MIFI? These mesh devices need to connect to an internet source, they do not give you internet. I connect mine to my cable modem to get fast wireless. in your configuration you connect to your MIFI and get cell tower data speed which you have to pay for. You cannot get a speed faster than the source. In your case you cannot get a faster speed than the MIFI. In my case I cannot get faster than the 150MB cable modem. back to your question. the Orbi needs a wired connection to work. It cannot connect over wifi and then rebroadcast it. However you can keep the bridged Netgear device and wire it into the Orbi. So you end up with MIFI wireless into Netgear wired into Orbi to give you a mesh network but it will never be faster than the Netgear source hope this helps Gman
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Can you connect the ATT MIFI to the Orbi via hardwire? If yes that would be the ideal solution. The Orbi and Satellite would be the primary network. I'm guessing the ATT MIFI is a portable hotspot?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To have it set up as BOTH a router and AP, no. To have an AP act as a bridge to the router, yes. There are some configuration settings that restrict if the device is a router OR an AP during setup.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Orbi requires an Internet connection via Ethernet, it cannot bridge over wireless.
