“We currently have spectrum and the modem/router are together. This is located in our basement, I now work from home and need better service upstairs. Would this work for that? Or do I need to somehow move it all upstairs?”

I work from home as well. I was unable to do so for my job. However. If you work from home on a laptop or something it may work great. I have a big computer setup and needed more juice.
