I have no doubt simply adding another satellite will cover your home completely. The basic setup covers my 3600 sq ft 2 story with no gaps/problems. I'm confident that adding another satellite (either upstairs or downstairs through experimentation) you'll have complete coverage, and have it literally in minutes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, but it has a completely separate band to link the units to each other. Zero loss of speed between the units. Incredible upgrade from using extenders.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Orbi Satellite is designed to blast through traditional obstacles to connect wirelessly to the Orbi router over its Tri-Band network to cover a combined radius of approximately 4,000 sq. ft. You can also add additional satellites for more coverage (approximately 2,000 sq. ft. per device). No wires needed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. You could wire two and have the 3rd Satellite connect via the Wifi Backhaul. It should work great like that.
