anyone know the range of this adapter? null

Mine has excellent reception from 50 feet through 4 walls.

my son lives about 1/4 mile up from me and he is picking up from mine

It range was over a large home was very good at any room in the house

I purchased the Netgear N600 WiFi Dual Band for a desktop computer, after my Laptop crashed. Works well at my home, thru 2 walls at a distance of approx 60 feet. Works fast and I have not yet had a drop signal.

You should stay within 50 feet of the wireless hub.

I have been up to 100ft away from my router and still got signal

My desktop computer is in a middle bedroom and I have no issues with it's range reaching into the living room using it so far.

My router is 25 feet away and on the floor below, the adapter works great from this distance!

I've used mine 65-70 feet away (through the walls of my house) while sitting outside.

It works in my house in a range of 20 - 25 feet thru a pocket door that usually is closed most of the time too.
