Depends on how much a new wireless card would cost. I'd shop around. Better to have something internal, as this sticks out and will inevitably get bumped, which could damage the USB socket on your laptop.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No need to purchase a new laptop. All you need is a wireless USB connector that will work with your present system. Is your router G or N? Thats important. If your router will do N, purchase a wireless USB that does N. G will work with it, but it will work a slower speed but the frequency that G operators on, can be interferred with. If you see alot of people on the wireless network in your neighborhood, they are probably using G. N works in the 5mhz range, is stronger, and offeres better security settings to protect you.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A wireless USB adapter should work seamlessly on your laptop. I had a bad experience with the Netgear N600 wireless USB adapter that I had just tried. But that doesn't deter me from wireless USB adapters in general. Because quite a lot of people gave the N600 adapter a good review, I suspect mine was defective. I recommend that you try a wireless USB adapter before you buy another laptop.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I chose this product rather than replace my laptop. My wifi adapter still works fine, but it was only b/g capable which limited the speed. So I disabled the inbuilt adapter and went with this product. A lot depends on the age of your laptop. I think this is a good option.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would believe you would be happy with its perfomance and ease of use. I would try it before buying a new computer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you have the extra USB port on your laptop to devote to this device, then sure. I am using this on a desktop, however. You will most likely experience better connections with this device installed than when your wireless card was fully operational.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It would work fine, except that it does have to be hooked up via USB. It will protrude from your port. But you should not have a problem if you disconnect each time you turn of your laptop. I would recommend using the supplied wire extension.
