“Is this Mac compatible? I have an older Mac Pro with no wifi card”

No. I tried it with my iMac (2012) version. There is no driver anywhere on CD or through Netgear's website.

If your Mac has a USB port it shouldn't be a problem. the packaging should give details but as a mac owner myself (mine has wifi) it should be fine.

No, it is not -- this wireless network adapter requires either Windows XP or Vista.
