“Does it run of 12 or 5 volts? I currently have an Insignia camera connected to the rear USB port on my Sony head unit as it runs off of 5 volts that way the camera comes on whenever I start my truck. Would this be able to use the same USB port? Thank you.”

Hello Adam, The 320XR requires a 12V/ 5 amp power supply. We do not recommend using a USB cable to power the Dashcam in your vehicle as this can be susceptible to voltage fluctuations. Please only use the provided 12V Cigarette Lighter Cable, or the Nextbase Hard Wire Kit to power the Dashcam.
