“When purchased with the optional reverse cam, is there any way to use this camera solely for the reverse (back up) camera feature? I only want the dash cam display to come on when put in reverse.”

• this is not a back up cam. win use this cam with a rear view cam you can touch the sceen to show want is be hide you.

• Hello Rich, I'm afraid there isn't a way of only activating the camera when reversing- the camera will be designed to come on whenever there is power provided to it. The only option would be to plug the dashcam in when you wish to reverse and unplug it at any other time.
