• Yes it comes with a cord to plug into the lighter outlet. I bought the fuse tap kit to wire mine.

• This model actually needs to be constantly plugged in, as the battery doesn't last very long. For me, this wasn't really a con because I don't use the screen unless it's plugged in. It has an auto power down option, too.
