I wouldn't recommend mounting a camera to "look" through a window trying capture outdoor motion because of possible glare/reflection issues. However, if you do, please make sure you have sufficient exterior lighting.

And at night, the camera's LEDs will reflect off the window and distort the image and cause detection issues. Overall, we do not recommend having a camera look out of a window due to these issues.
