“I installed the system for a friend and all went well. However there is concern over the heat generated while in night mode. Is there a way to disable the IR with the WNIP2 system? I know that will turn off night vision and that's fine.”

Hi Ronnie. Is the NVR in a well ventilated area? There is no way to disable the IR LEDs built into the camera for Night Vision. They activate automatically when the camera senses a lack of light, so that the camera can continue to provide a crisp and clear image.
