“Do i have to have Wi Fi to set up or actually utilize this system? I just want a good wireless system with a DVR to use on my cabin that will never have any Wi Fi capability. If so, I will order this.”

No but! If you want to see what's going on in your home while away or to record you will need wifi, I do think it is a way to do this other wise, call their support line and be certain. I love it
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Great question. The NVR has built-in Wi-Fi to communicate with the cameras, so Internet is not required. Without Internet you will not be able to remotely view the system on your Smart Device, but you can view on a TV / Monitor via HDMI. Additionally, you will have to go to our support site to check for FW updates as the NVR will not auto update without Internet. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!
