• The dvr will auto overwrite the oldest data once the dvr gets full. So you don't have to manually free up space.

• You have a number of options to select from that will impact how long you can record. Motion activated record vs continuous record is the most impactful. Clips can be exported for safe keeping and to ensure any new recordings don't cause you to lose key footage. We advise exporting key moments via USB drive that can be attached to the recorder for safe keeping. Thanks, Night Owl SP Support Team
