• It can record time lapse or motion. It will loop and record over older recordings.

• By default the system is set to motion record and auto-overwrite when the HDD becomes full. You can switch the record setting to 24/7 continuous if desired, for one or more cameras. Keep in mind, that will eat through your HDD space at a much quicker rate. However, you can backup your recordings to a USB flash drive if you wish to save them long term.
