Good Afternoon, The motion sensor will detect everything within the field of view of the camera. However, you may need to adjust the sensitivity of the motion sensor if you notice the camera is not detecting items you think it should. Adjusting the sensitivity is easily accomplished by accessing the Camera menu within the Main Menu. Thanks for choosing Night Owl.
