Ptz cables consist of power/video/control lines. Video (coax) Power (red/black usually) Control (2-wire, Diff colors) Dvrs w/ptz controllers can accept different ptz cams. Try to stay in the form factor (similar model) and make sure the wiring for the control line is hooked up right. You should be good.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Good Afternoon. I would need more information on the system that you have (such as the model #) to know for sure. Generally, we only assure that Night Owl PTZ cameras are compatible with our DVRs. The number of PTZ cameras that you can connect to the DVR depends on the number of PTZ ports. Simply look at the back of your DVR and count the number of PTZ ports (the PTZ port is orange and green). If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact our technical support team. They are available for live chat on our website at www.nightowlsp.com. Simply scrowl to the bottom of the page and click on the Live Technical Support Chat icon. Thanks.
