QuestionCan they be set to record 24/7 or only with motion activation?

- Answer Yes, you can switch the recording mode from motion to continuous, to record 24/7. Keep in mind, this will eat through your available hard drive space at a much quicker rate. Once the hard drive becomes full, it is set to auto-overwrite old footage. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!

QuestionWeather wise how durable are these. Do they hold up in extreme cold temps, rain and snow?

- Answer The cameras are weather resistant and durable, but should always be placed under an awning or eave. Also, as per the stated specifications: Minimum Operating Temperature is -4 degrees fahrenheit, Maximum Operating Temperature is 140 degrees fahrenheit.

- Answer Hi Mizzy. No, these cameras do not record audio. They have 1-way audio (speaker), which can be used with our preset voice messages and siren. But they do not detect or record audio. Thank you!

QuestionWhat do you recommend for a battery back up system to use with your system. Maybe something that would last for 8 to 12 hours.

QuestionI wish to upgrade my existing DVR-HDA10PB-81-RS. Please recommend an upgrade model that is compatible with my older model cables. Cables are inside finished walls and ceiling spaces and I don't want to cut drywall and replace with new cables. Thank you

- Answer Hi Bart. Our 720p cameras are not compatible with this DVR. Sorry for the inconvenience. If you connect them, you may be able to see a live view image, but the cameras will not function as intended so that is not recommended. QuestionDo these cameras connect to a monitor? Is wifi required?

- Answer Yes, you can connect the DVR to a TV or monitor using HDMI and view your cameras and access recordings. Wi-Fi is not required, but an Internet connection is strongly recommended. Without the DVR being connected to the Internet, you will not be able to remotely view the system from a mobile device and you will not receive automatic firmware updates (which is recommended to keep your system healthy).
