Hi Dano! This NVR system uses Ethernet (network) cable to connect the cameras to the recorder. The cameras are powered through the same cable using Power over Ethernet (PoE), so no separate power cable is required for each camera. For best performance, we recommend using Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cable for installations and extensions.
