“I need a system where I can keep video stored for about 3 years. I will have 4-5 cameras on motion. I know that a terabyte will last me about 45 days with motion cameras. Can I down load to portable hard drives with 6+terabyte storage??”

Most Night Owl DVR/NVRs can accommodate larger hard drives. See your product Specifications for the max size. Our DVR/NVRs are compatible with internal SATA HDD's, 2.5" or 3.5". The HDD should have a minimum of 7200 RPM. We are not able to guarantee compatibility with external hard drives at this time. Additionally, you can backup recordings to a USB flash drive for off site storage. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!
