By default, your Night Owl system is set to record when human motion is detected by one of the cameras. If a camera detects human motion within the cameras field of view, a recording is generated and stored on your hard drive. If enabled, a push alert is sent to your Smart Device via our Free mobile App. The record settings for your device can be adjusted within the Main Menu, should you wish to alter the settings for one or more cameras. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, it is only for recording activity. When set up using a monitor screen it will show what screen or screens are being recorded when motion is detected and then switches to record mode.
