I like the cameras , pretty simple to install and love the phone app. App needs a lot of work and website doesn’t work but it is all self explanatory. Clear pictures. I’m excited and so is the wife so it’s a win win

The cameras are great the picture is really clear even at night and easy to see. The motion light is a plus. The set up was quick and easy. Haven't had the system long but the only thing I don't like is the app. Doesn't always connect when not close to the system.

Great system excellent pitcher on days and nights .only thing is one camara gets stuck on night vision followed all the procedures on the site but it's still doing it .but when I put up a different camara work's great just need the one camara replaced but I love the nightowl system beats all others hands down keep up the good work nightowl ill will only buy night owl systems over all great product

I have read the other reviews and I am not sure what the issues are that they are having. Be sure that plying download the night owl x app to monitor the cameras. This app has a large x in the middle with an eye on each side of the letter. Also, when you are pulling the cables through you will need to make sure that you use a glow rod to snake it properly, and electrical tape to tape the cable to the rod to ensure that it does not pull on the ends of the wire. Also keep in mind that when you read the product description it tells you the length of the words that are included. It is your responsibility to purchase additional wires to reach the length of your home or business. I personally recommend the insignia 100ft extension cables. You will not need to buy BNC connectors due to the system coming with them. I am a certified security installer and I have installed hundreds of systems. This system for the price is well work the money. However if you would like a system that allows you to have 2 way conversation this is not the system for you. Also, keep in mind that this system is hard wired to your network through a Ethernet cable. With that being said you will either have to run a Ethernet cable to the router or place the dvr in the same room as the router.

This was purchased during Black Friday. Best Buy website gives excellent reviews but please review the app reviews before purchasing. The Best Buy rep said she highly recommend this but I wish I could return. Once leaving the house, the app says everything is offline. Who buys security cameras to look at only while at home. I can just look out the window. I work away from home and finally was home to get these put up this week and wish I never purchased these. While I’m away in different states I can’t see what’s going on in my home. Total waste of money. Now I have to pay someone to take this down, purchase new cameras and pay someone to put the new cameras up. The language barrier with the Best Buy Elite is horrible. I was put on hold 10-15 minutes at a time for over 2 hours to have my issue unresolved. I spoke with Christine who never put a supervisor on the line but continued to place me on hold as she “try to find one”.

I love it its very clear even at night u can see the very face and know who's on your property plus u can talk through the monitor that is viewing

Great system for the price..like that I can always check my camera on my smart phone from anywhere.

I'm not sure if you guys who are writing reviews are used to security cameras, but this is my 4th nightowl and this is a piece of junk. Do not but. Still images are beautiful, but images in motion are transparent and blurry.

The cameras are great. Nice resolution. Includes 60' power/signal cable and (very) basic mounting hardware for camera baseplate. Size of hard drive is perfectly adequate for residential, or light commercial needs. Software allows you to tailor scheduled recording, to make efficient use of storage space (i.e. if you only want them running from 11pm to 5 am, etc). Can be set to record 24/7, or motion based initiation. Can turn light on with motion...or...not. (In my case I am trying to catch someone, not scare them away, so I like this). Night vision is pretty sharp. The odd quirks...the format of navigating the screens and reviewing recorded files is a little clunky - at least if using direct from DVR to a monitor (I haven't tried the app yet, it may be more user friendly). The system did not include a manual beyond the very basic "plug this in here" directions. One is available online...but...really? The BNC connections on the back of the device are pretty close together, a little tricky to use adjacent inputs without very small fingers. But overall, I'd recommend. Maybe too quirky for "I'm not good with technology" people. I would not want my grandmother trying to figure this thing out.

These cameras are super easy to set up and the night vision is amazing! The spot lights are not the greatest for an indoor camera but they would be awesome to ward off intruders. There are a few minor hiccups in the app but that doesn't effect the overall performance and quality of these cameras! I will most definitely be purchasing more in the future for the convenience to watch my dogs and for the safety of my home

Night Owl C20X series with 4-Cameras is a good Surveillance System with 1080p quality video. The Indoor/Outdoor are easy to install. Wiring, though, is not an easy task. Wiring is great: you don't have to keep changing batteries, so you save money on batteries. But, if you don't have power the system is down. The 1TB DVR gives plenty room to record any activity.

The unit itself is very easy to setup and configure. It works great, the night-vision cameras are pretty clear and detection system seems solid. The only gripe is setting-up the app. It appears there's a delay between the initial setup of accounts and unit and when you can access it via the app. It took around 12 hours before it recognized the login and allowed us to view cameras and get alerts.

This was easy to install and has clear connection and visual sight of areas. It can work also with ALEXA to view your surveillance. I highly suggest this for your security needs as you have 1 TB of memory to view and can view from your smartphone at any time(day or night) with night vision that works great!

First off for the initial first setup of cameras you must have a full HD 1080p tv/monitor ...after that you dont need the monitor..you can use the app on a phone,tablet or laptop. Easy setup after that camera's pick up good day and night vision. I was satisfied w the cams...I would recommend

Everything works if you know how to set it up, I don't understand these bad reviews about apps, pc and phone apps work as long as you hace the required hardware. The night vision quality varies if you have your own lights or camera spot light and distance you place the video camera. During the day it looks great. Motion and 24/7 recording adjustability. The only con are the video camera screws as they are weak and break if you don't do a pilot hole.

The camera in all is actually very easy to install, use and even though it is quite easy, the quality of it is quite remarkable for something that is easy to use.

I install camera systems for a living on large commercial properties and I know how expensive these systems can be. I researched these and this version of Night Owl was affordable but had great quality. My research paid off. I always make sure everything is hardwired as I don't like to rely on wireless. The system is easy to setup and I can view remotely from anywhere. The 1TB hard drive makes storage easy for recording events. The picture is clear and there have been no issues with recording clear video.

Good cameras but have problem checking them from my phone thru the app. Sometimes the app will crash and not work for a few days. Other than that it's good.

These little beauties works great and I can see at night very clear easy to use!
