The Nikon AF-S DX Micro-NIKKOR 40mm f/2.8G Macro lens can work when the Nikon D750 DSLR camera has the crop mode set to "On". When crop mode is off you will see vignetting in live view. When crop mode is on you will see only the cropped version in live view and when using the viewfinder you will see a black box to indicate what the crop will affect. In playback you will notice this as a possible drop in resolution or the edges of the picture will be blacked out to indicate the DX crop.
