• I love the 55-300 and has mostly made my 55-200 obsolete. It's a little heavier but the zoom is really worth it.

• As I understand, there is not difference between those two except 55-200mm has 200mm zoom and 55-300mm has 300mm zoom. After overall, if you want to shoot something at distance then I would recommend 55-300mm as it has longer zoom.
