“Best Zoom lens to purchase? I am planning to purchase the Nikon D3100. I would also like to get a decent zoom lens for sports, scenery, wildlife (vacations). I have been looking at the AF-S DX VR 55-300 and the ED-IF AF-S VR 70-300. I am not sure which is the better lens and will meet be more of my needs. If I buy a package the price difference is around $150. I want to make sure I am making the best purchase and getting the most valure for my money. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I also notice that some lenses state VR II, is there a big difference between VR and VR II?”
