The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR lens, as well as other E-type lenses, is completely compatible with the Nikon D3400 DSLR camera. To learn more about compatibility please contact Nikon Support.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not sure. Lens employs a electromagnetic shutter which is compatible with only certain cameras. It works great with my D610 and older D300. I didn't see the D3400 on the list of compatible camera bodies on the Nikon Website. There is a good chance that it is but I would call Nikon at their toll-free number (1-800-645-6687) before purchasing. If you do get it be aware that the lens is on the heavy side and although you can get great results hand holding it a monopod is recommended.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is an AF-S lense so you should have no problem putting this on the D3400. The D3400 does not have a built in auto focus motor so you'll be best served buying to AF-S lenses (which have the motor) otherwise you will have to manually focus. So far it has been a great lens and a real bargain- but very heavy to hand hold for very long periods of time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think it will but if you go on the nikon website it will answer your question.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.sorry to say that no, this lens is not compatible with any of the 3300 series. I thought perhaps it was just auto focus but with a bit of a search its more than that, the E mechanism, the electromagnetic diaphragm will not work so the lens will not function properly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it will work on the D3400. But since the D3400 is a DX (crop) sensor camera body, and the 200-500mm is a standard full frame lens there will be approximately a 1.5x additional crop/magnification factor. This means that images through this lens on a D3400 will be magnified the way a 300-750mm lens would appear on a full frame camera body.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know but Nikon has a page in their website that will tell you if it's compatible
