A:AnswerYes as long as you have the adapter it will work great. I use mine mainly for taking pictures of surfers here in Hawaii. Also, for taking pictures of the sky on Mauna Kea.
A:AnswerHello, while I haven't used this lens for exactly those examples I have used it for baseball games. I will be using it for football games coming this season but, haven't had a chance just yet. While I've read some reviews on its capability in low light being sub-par I would say your camera body really drives that issue. I have this lens on a d750 body and I have to say, the low light capability is exceptional to me. I do use auto-ISO under these circumstances and that seems to be the perfect medium. The auto focus on this lens is superb. I say buy it, and if it doesn't fit your needs return it and try the Tamron or Sigma 150-600.
A:AnswerAccording to the chart on the Nikon page it will. https://www.nikonusa.com/images/learn-explore/photography-techniques/2011/which-nikkor-is-right-for-you/media/nikkor-lens-compatibility-chart.pdf
A:AnswerYes. It is compatible with most Nikon SLR cameras, including the D3500. Nikon has used the same mounts for years. Without going into a great deal of detail, the only Nikon camera this lens would not fit on is the newer mirrorless Z-series cameras. However, Nikon and other 3rd party manufacturers now make adapters so this lens (which is known as an F-mount), will be able to fit the Z-Series. If you own the D3500 or ANY D-series Nikon, it will 100% absolutely fit.
