I use any rechargeable AAA batteries. They last they last for hundreds of pictures. For example on the 3-day camping trip. Buy an extra set of 4 and carry the spare fully charged just in case. This is a fantastic camera for my wildlife and plant photos. Love the macro!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The B500 takes 4 AA type batteries. LR6/L40 alkaline, FR6/L91 lithium, and EN-MH2 rechargeable Ni-MH type AA batteries can be used. Battery life will vary depending on the brand of batteries used, whether stills or movies are being shot, and other factors. Approximately 600 still photos can be shot with fresh alkaline batteries, 1240 with fresh lithium, and 750 with fresh EN-MH2 rechargeables.
